A little bit ago, I met with a potential new client who told me that she'd met with several possible sitters before me but knew right away that I was "the one," which was a happy revelation for me, but also got me thinking: this must be an incredibly difficult choice for some people to make, especially if they've never had a pet sitter for their pets nor have ever thought to entertain the idea of having what (initially) amounts to a stranger coming in to their home to care for it all in their absence.
